Stafford Junior Graded Tournament – Third Selection Event

Players MUST play in at least TWO of the three selections event to be eligible for selection in Brisbane Junior Team for Queensland Junior Championships – 28th June to 5th July 2015 in Brisbane

 

  1. This tournament is a ONE day event
  2. Play commences at 9am Sunday 10th May & first match times available on Tournament Software after       10am Friday 8th March
  3. No player will be permitted to play until entry fees are paid in full
  4. Protective eyewear must be worn at all times whilst on court by ALL players
  5. Players must mark and/or referee a match immediately following theirs. Assistance will be given if needed
  6. Players are guaranteed 3 matches
  7. Players must be ready to commence play at the advertised playing time or forfeits will be given. Check in is 15 minutes prior to first match
  8. Scoring will be PAR 11, best of 5 games
  9. The organiser’s decisions are final and they also reserve the right to:
  10. Refuse any entry
  11. Regrade any player
  12. Alter times of matches
  13. And reduce the number of events to ensure the tournament runs smoothly

 

Entries Close: Midday, 6th May 2015

Entry Fees: $30 single player, $50 for 2 children, $70 for 3 children

Daisy Hill 4-PLAY Doubles 2015

Squash Doubles Tournament

28th & 29th March 2015

All matches at Daisy Hill Squash Centre

Match Format

  1. Each match is to be played under the “MODIFIED DOUBLES RULES”
  2. Each match consists of 3 x 12 minute games (see entry form)
  3. Games start and finish on the bell
  4. The rally stops with the bell – do not finish the rally
  5. If points are equal in any game when the bell goes, one more rally played to determine winner of the game.
  6. If a team is not on the court ready to play at the start of game 1, that team shall forfeit that game and play will recommence at start of game 2.
  7. All matches including semi-finals are played under the same format.
  8. All players STRONGLY ADVISED  to wear Squash Australia approved protective eyewear. It is compulsory for Junior players (19 years and under) to wear Squash Australia approved protective eyewear.

Simplified Doubles Rules

  1. Point-a-Rally scoring.
  2. Either player of the striking side permitted to hit the ball.
  3. Serving and Receiving:
    – Partners must serve and receive from the same side throughout each game, but may change at the start of each game.
    – There is no “second server” (Lose rally, other team serves.)
  4. Strokes: NO STROKES (see entry form for more details.)
  5. Lets or No Lets only
  6. Only the player (not partner) who encounters the interference can appeal.
  7. You cannot call a let on your own team partner.

2015 BCS AGM

Nominations

Nominations should be sent to [email protected] and must be received by the 13th of February, 2015. Only correctly nomination forms will be accepted (see the nomination form below).

Once closed, nominations will be posted to the BCS website and Facebook page, emailed to all centre operators, and emailed to all BCS players whose e-mail address is known.

Nominations will be posted as soon as possible and no later than the end of the 16th of February, 2015.

 

Proxy voting

Players unable to vote on the day can nominate a proxy. Only correctly filled out proxy forms will be accepted (see the proxy voting form below). Proxy votes must be signed and sent from the individual players’ email address.

Proxy votes can be sent to Brisbane City Squash at [email protected]. This mailbox is restricted to the BCS secretary and committee members assigned to running the AGM.

Proxy votes must be received no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the AGM. Further, players are restricted to holding no more than 15 proxy votes from other players.
